I have always been deeply interested in the manipulation of the materials that I have been involved with. This, I believe has given me a deeper understanding of their potential.
I work with metal, stone, wood, concrete, clay, resins, plaster, paint, plastics, ceramic and glass. My work has developed a great range which is always measured with a sense of how things should be and a philosophy that mere materials can transcend their raw state.
It is only by understanding and embracing the physical restrictions of our environment that we are able to go beyond them.
